  • The face is actually a projection from inside the pumpkin, so when it's turned off it just looks like a regular plastic pumpkin. But when it lights up β€” it comes to life! My grandkids were completely obsessed with it. The build quality is great β€” it's been through a lot of button pressing and still works perfectly. I expect it to last us many more Halloweens.

  • It's a singing and talking pumpkin, and he's awesome! There's a 45 minute loop of talking, making faces and singing. Yes, the day it came I watched the entire 45. He was a hit for sure and would make a great addition to anyone's Halloween decorations.

    A projector and a speaker sit inside the pumpkin shell. Switch Jack on and he throws a living face onto the inside of that shell β€” so he blinks, pulls expressions and mouths every word he sings. Switch him off and there's no screen and no seam. He's just a plastic pumpkin again.

    One button cycles his three characters β€” Spooky, Traditional and Goofy β€” plus a silent-face mode that keeps the expressions and drops the sound. Plug him in with any micro-USB phone charger, press once, and walk away: 45+ minutes of jokes, songs and faces run on their own before anything repeats.

    He's at his best once the light drops. From around dusk, or any time in a covered porch or shaded doorway, the projection is at full strength.
